Our larger tree surveying and maintenance is provided by tree surgeon Harry Mockett, removing hanging and dead wood from the top of the older ash trees for safety reasons.
After an unexpected delay in getting the mower repaired under warranty, we now have it back and functioning correctly. All the main paths in Jubilee Wood and Millennium Wood have now been cut, along with the Engagement Ring and Firepit areas. Further cuts will improve their condition.

Pollinating insects play a vital role in our environment, ensuring that many of our crops and wild plants are able to set seed and produce fruit. We need to know how pollinator populations are changing, and with your help, as part of this national scheme, we hope to gather recurring data on a wide range of flower visiting insects throughout the woodlands. This is an ideal project for all ages to participate in.
HOW CAN WE HELP ?
From April to October, take just ten minutes to count how many insects land on a target species of seasonal flowers in a 50 cm square patch. For example, it could be a section of flowering brambles, hawthorn, knapweed or buttercups.
